1. Information We Collect

When you use ChattyPost, we may collect:

• Account information: Social media account identifiers used to post on your behalf
• Content you upload: Images, videos, captions, and other media
• Chat messages: Notes, instructions, or messages exchanged with ChattyPost
• Usage information: Logs about scheduled posts, posting success/failure, and app interactions

2. Google API Services (YouTube)

ChattyPost uses YouTube API Services to enhance your content management experience. By using our services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

When you authenticate with YouTube, we access the following information:

• YouTube Channel Metadata: We use the youtube.readonly scope to retrieve your channel name and profile image. This allows you to identify and select the correct channel within our dashboard.
• Video Uploading & Management: We use the youtube.upload scope to allow you to schedule and publish video content directly from our interface to your YouTube channel.

ChattyPost's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI Disclosure: YouTube requires creators to label realistic AI-generated or altered content. As the YouTube API does not currently support setting this programmatically, you are responsible for updating this setting in YouTube Studio after your video is uploaded.

3. Meta & Instagram API Services

ChattyPost uses Meta Graph API services to enable seamless content scheduling and publishing to Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts. By using these features, you agree to be bound by the Meta Terms of Service and the Meta Privacy Policy.

When you authenticate through Meta, we access the following information:

• Instagram Business Metadata (instagram_business_basic): We retrieve basic profile information (such as your handle and profile picture) to verify your identity and display your connected account within the ChattyPost dashboard.
• Instagram Content Publishing (instagram_business_content_publish): This permission allows us to programmatically publish images, videos, and Reels to your Instagram Business account based on your scheduled settings.
• Facebook Page Management (pages_show_list & pages_manage_posts): We access a list of the Facebook Pages you manage to allow you to select the correct destination for your content. We use the publishing permission to create posts on your selected Pages on your behalf.

Data Control: ChattyPost only accesses the specific Pages and Instagram Business accounts you explicitly select during the authentication process. You may revoke these permissions at any time through your Facebook Business Integrations settings. We do not share or sell data retrieved from Meta APIs to third parties.

User-Requested Deletion: If you disconnect your YouTube or Meta account or request account deletion, all content and account data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours.

4. TikTok API Services & Verification Status

ChattyPost uses TikTok API Services to allow you to share video content directly to your TikTok profile. By using these features, you agree to be bound by the TikTok Terms of Service and the TikTok Privacy Policy.

A. Current "Unaudited" Status

ChattyPost is currently in an "Unaudited" developer status. During this period, all video uploads are restricted by TikTok to "Private" (Self-Only) viewership. To make these videos public, you must manually finalize the post via your TikTok Inbox or Drafts.

B. Post-Audit Capabilities

Upon completion of TikTok's official audit process, ChattyPost will support the Direct Post feature. At that time, we will collect the following mandatory metadata from you via our conversational interface:

• Privacy Settings: You will be able to set your post visibility (Public, Friends, or Private) directly via chat.
• Commercial Content Disclosure: In accordance with TikTok's 2026 transparency requirements, the ChattyPost bot will ask if your content promotes a brand, product, or service. We will then pass your disclosure (e.g., "Your Brand" or "Branded Content") to TikTok to ensure your video is properly labeled and compliant with global advertising standards.

C. Data Access & Scopes

• user.info.basic: To retrieve your TikTok open ID and avatar for account verification within the chat.
• user.info.profile: To retrieve your TikTok username (@handle) and display name so we can confirm the correct account before scheduling a post.
• video.upload & video.publish: To transfer your media and initialize the posting process.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Enable scheduling and posting of content to your linked social media accounts
• Generate suggested captions, tags, or other enhancements only on your request
• Provide you with chat history and content management tools
• Improve app functionality and debug issues

We do not sell your data to third parties.

6. Content Retention

• Posted content: Retained for 30 days after publication to allow users to repost if desired. Content will be immediately deleted from our systems if users request account deletion.
• Scheduled content: Retained until deleted by the user.
• Chat history: Chat history is not currently saved between sessions. In a future update, chat history will be stored and users will be able to view and delete it at any time.

7. User Control

• Unlink accounts anytime: You may revoke access to your social media accounts at any time.
• Delete scheduled content: You may delete individual scheduled whenever you want.
• Delete chat history: Chat history is not currently saved. When this feature is introduced, you will be able to clear your chat history at any time directly from the app.
• Delete account: You may delete your account entirely, which will remove all your data from ChattyPost systems.

8. Security

We store your data securely and implement reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Access tokens and credentials for social media accounts are encrypted and used only to post content on your behalf.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at chattypost.app/privacy. Major changes affecting how your data is stored or shared will be communicated to users and may require your consent.
